Ismaïl sur Paris

06/10/2026: A pleasant restaurant with a small but tasty buffet.

01/10/2026: We had dinner last night at the Jaipur Café. Upon arrival, a gentleman greeted us, and we were surprised to see that it wasn't a buffet, as we were given a regular menu. We asked about it, and the gentleman brought us another menu that we didn't quite understand. We asked for an explanation, and the gentleman, who didn't speak French very well, explained something we didn't understand. We got up, deciding to have dinner elsewhere. When we arrived at the entrance, we explained the situation to another person who seemed to be the manager. He apologized for the situation and explained that at the beginning of the week it was like a buffet, but with table service. He promised we wouldn't be disappointed if we stayed and took care of us personally. He explained the concept clearly (an assortment of starters, then main courses to choose from and reorder if needed, and finally an assortment of desserts). I was worried about having too much food and wasting it, but he assured me that it was served in small portions and that we could order more later. We decided to give it a try, and we're so glad we did! The food was well-prepared, the dishes were fresh, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Special mention for the spinach and lentil dhal, but everything was delicious, and the staff was very friendly! Thank you so much! A place to remember!
