We had a wonderful time at this restaurant, where we enjoyed the tasting menu. The chef adapted the dishes to our tastes and dietary restrictions, and the wine and beverage selection was very appropriate. Everything was perfect!

Excellent food, a wonderful discovery, special mention for the foie gras with smoked duck breast 😋 "a delight". I highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back soon. The owners are truly lovely. Thank you for your hospitality.

I'd like to draw your attention to a special restaurant in Hagenau that we visited with friends for lunch on January 1, 2026. This traditional establishment is located a bit outside the city center, but offers ample parking in the courtyard, and the nearby parking garage provides charging facilities for electric vehicles (provided you have a working charging card). The entrance and dining room are elaborately designed, and the generously spaced tables offer comfortable seating. The staff is very professional and attentive. You don't necessarily have to try your hand at French if it's difficult—although it would generally be desirable and polite to be able to communicate in the local language, at least using the usual phrases. There was no menu selection on this particular date; the set menu was fixed, but you could choose the number of courses (four or five). When dining at an unfamiliar restaurant, I often take advantage of a "food and wine pairing" option, as this usually ensures that the food and wines are well-matched to each course. The same was true here: Appropriately poured wines, perfectly complementing the dishes, were served with the four courses (dessert had no wine pairing). The dishes themselves were exquisitely presented and elaborately designed. The ingredients were expensive (turbo, scallops, raw and smoked tuna, corn-fed chicken), sophisticated, and impeccably prepared. The raw turbot had the finest meat flavor, and the delicately spiced, intensely flavorful sauces (the one served with the corn-fed chicken alone, with just some fries, would have been enough for me as a main course) beautifully rounded off the dishes. Of course, something like this doesn't come cheap, especially not when so few restaurants are open just 12 hours after New Year's. But a glance at the menu shows: there is a daily menu at lunchtime or, for a little more money, a "rétour du marché", the wine prices are pleasantly calculated and therefore I generalize the assessment that the service provided by the establishment is worth its price.

This is our third visit to this establishment, and frankly, it's a pure delight. From the service to the beauty and flavor of the dishes, we are thrilled every time we go. The staff's kindness is so pleasant; we feel pampered! The chef always comes to the dining room to make sure the guests enjoyed their meals and the evening; it's a special moment.

We dined there on Monday at lunchtime and were absolutely delighted with this lovely restaurant! Even the pleasant phone call the evening before had made us eager to visit. We received an equally warm welcome and were guided through the menu. The quality of the food was outstanding, and we particularly appreciated the subtle and refined presentation of the dishes! The value for money is excellent, and the wine list is well-curated! We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to it!
