Jerome Nutile sur Nimes

My experience was disappointing. I feel bad because the food was good. They brought the wrong main course, and my partner had to wait five minutes for it, which meant the fish was a bit cold when he went to eat it. The bread was difficult to cut; I ordered another portion, and it was much better. The dessert was magnificent, especially the panna cotta. Finally, I'd like to mention that I ordered house water, which was basically filtered tap water (the price wasn't listed on the menu). When I went to pay, I saw it cost €3 a bottle. To their credit, they gave my partner a free beer to compensate for the wait for the main course. Personally, I don't think I'll be back, nor will I recommend it to my friends.

Without going into Michelin star status, the owner, etc... The food was okay, the presentation very good, excellent dessert, but the service was awful. They brought the dishes out haphazardly due to their own mistake. We ate at odd times, and honestly, we arrived at 8 pm and left at 10 pm without even having coffee or time to relax after our meal. The service is slow, they made mistakes, the bread was stale... It's not worth the price. The only thing that saves them is the food, but the overall experience isn't good, and for the price, I think I could have eaten just as well or better at any other bistro in the city for a similar price.

I came to this bistro to celebrate my birthday with my partner. We chose the set menu. The appetizers were very good, but we were unfortunately disappointed by the main course, a filet mignon with morels, which really lacked flavor. The dessert, however, was acceptable. But our main disappointment was the wait, which was interminable. We arrived at noon and didn't leave until 2 p.m. Several people who arrived after us were served and left before us. About 30 minutes passed between the appetizer and the main course, and once the main course was finished, no one came to clear our table. We waited for almost 25 minutes, even though the waitress walked past us several times with empty hands. We finally had to ask to have our plates cleared ourselves. Dessert then arrived about 20 minutes later. In total, we spent over an hour waiting between courses. For a set menu, that seems far too long. We also asked for a carafe of water, which never arrived. It's a real shame, because given the prestige of the establishment, we expected a much better experience, especially in terms of service. We came for a birthday celebration and hoped to have a pleasant time, but these long waits unfortunately spoiled the meal considerably.

We had the pleasure of discovering Jérôme Nutile's BIstr'AU restaurant in Nîmes thanks to a gift certificate from our son. The menu included a starter, main course, cheese, and dessert for two. We had a wonderful evening! The dishes were truly excellent, flavorful, and above all, very generous: we certainly didn't leave hungry! 😋 We also greatly appreciated the service, with a very pleasant, courteous, and smiling team, which made the experience even more enjoyable. One small comment, however, regarding the cleanliness of the tableware: several pieces had marks, which is a shame and doesn't quite live up to the high standards and image of quality associated with Jérôme Nutile. Nevertheless, it was a very enjoyable experience, and we had a wonderful time. We were delighted to discover this restaurant!

A very original and delicious meal.

The last straw!!! I've been to this restaurant several times, and twice in the last two weeks. I find the service really mediocre. This time my dish was cold (the meat stuffing). The cheese service was deplorable. And I waited over 30 minutes for dessert, even though everything else had been served at lightning speed just before… In short, even though the price-quality ratio is good, this was the last time for me!

Probably the best brasserie in the area. The food is simply exceptional for an extremely reasonable price.

Overall, a mixed review. We came for dinner on a weekday. The service was rather quiet as there weren't many customers. The food was good, though not exceptional. Even though the brasserie isn't a Michelin-starred restaurant, we were still expecting more flavorful dishes. The service as a whole was good, with one minor complaint: a cocktail was taken away before we'd finished it. We felt slightly rushed by the service, probably due to the low turnout that evening and the large staff. The waiters and waitresses were pleasant nonetheless. The lack of background music is a real drawback, as it felt a bit heavy throughout the meal.

It was delicious and original. However, eating outside was too difficult in the heat. The service wasn't very friendly.
