La Bergerie sur Nieuil-L'Espoir

I wanted to share with you my opinion on our recent invitation to the restaurant La Bergerie, organized by our mother-in-law last Sunday. At first glance, I expected traditional local cuisine, but upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised. The warm welcome from the management and the professionalism of the young waitresses immediately created a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. What impressed me the most was the exceptional quality of the dishes. As a former chef, I am always on the lookout for restaurants that dare to think outside the box and highlight the freshness and quality of the products. La Bergerie was able to meet all my expectations. Each dish was a true festival of flavors, with surprising but perfectly mastered combinations. I would also like to point out that this high-level taste experience was offered at a very reasonable price. It's quite rare these days to find such value for money in a gourmet restaurant. In summary, La Bergerie is a true hidden gem. I strongly encourage you to go there with your eyes closed. You will not be disappointed, quite the contrary. Let yourself be carried away by an exceptional culinary journey where each bite is a discovery of new flavors. Bon appetit to all and see you soon for new gastronomic adventures

We know this restaurant because we enjoyed the evening menu, which was absolutely excellent and the welcome was so rare with a smile and all the attention in the world and the fireplace!!! A very good place I will make my Christmas presents there if possible.

Very warm welcome from Natacha upon our arrival. Warm setting with the added bonus of a small wood fire. Excellent service with all its taste explanations. Fine and refined cuisine. You can go there with your eyes closed.

A tad difficult to find, well away from the village centre, but nice location. Friendly professional service, excellent cuisine and generous portion sizes. We were unfortunately delayed arriving, getting there just before 13.00. There was gentle pressure to make our menu choices, and we were asked to have coffee served with our desserts ... perhaps unusually, the management clearly like to close at a set time. This is not a criticism, and course timings were fine .... but you would be well advised to arrive early. "Amuse bouche" was simply tapenade with toast, which we thought less impressive than expected. A more serious criticism was that we chose the most expensive menu, largely because of the interesting entree choices. In the event, we were informed that only one entree was available ... foie gras. Very nice it was, but whilst we accept the reasoning, they only wish to serve fresh and had no fresh fish, surely other alternatives should have been available. 5 stars if it had not been for that.

We have just discovered this restaurant with friends, very warm welcome from the manager, delicious meal, beautiful presentation of the dishes and waitresses who explain well what is served to us. I highly recommend this restaurant, we will return with pleasure. We had a nice time with our friends.

Very good restaurant located in a quiet location surrounded by nature. The staff is pleasant and smiling. The cuisine is excellent and refined. Small downside on desserts which are often too sweet.
