A simple and tasty daily menu at a very reasonable price for homemade food. I also tried the fleischnaka sold on site. Very good.

La Framboisaire in Bourbach-le-Haut is a gastronomic gem in the Southern Vosges Mountains. The restaurant combines a warm, modern décor with subtle nods to classic Alsace and a bohemian flair—the same flair possessed by the entrepreneurial duo running this place.
The menu is compact and carefully composed, featuring classics from French and Alsatian cuisine, each with a contemporary twist. No excess, but a clear focus on quality, flavor balance, and craftsmanship.
For my starter, I chose the trout tartare: a refined composition in which the freshness of the fish was beautifully accentuated by acidity and a subtle hint of pepper. A dish that demonstrates technical mastery and a keen sense of taste.
The main course was my personal favorite: pan-fried veal kidneys, served in a—thankfully not overpowering—mustard sauce. The kidneys were cooked perfectly pink—full of flavor, without any hint of acidity—and were accompanied by a classic Alsatian potato rosti and crisp seasonal vegetables. A harmonious and colorful plate that offered both comfort and finesse.
The wine list is impressive, with a wide selection of Alsace wines. We opted for the house wines by the glass, all of which scored above average in character and pairing with the dishes.
A special detail that deserves a mention: the bread. All breads are baked by the chef himself—an artisanal touch that completes the whole experience.
