We came yesterday for the third time... It's still just as good! You'll find dishes to suit every spice tolerance (mild to hot). Special mention for the breaded black pudding with apples.

La Route des Épices in Rochefort is a restaurant we enjoyed for its French specialty cuisine with revisited flavors and original seasonings. The dishes are prepared using fresh ingredients. The menu offers a variety of meat and fish dishes: salmon fillet with sweet potato, rib-eye steak marinated in spices with homemade fries, swordfish roast with red curry and baby vegetables, chicken casserole with green curry, grilled sea bass with curry sauce, and seafood casserole. Our dishes, duck breast with honey and rosemary sauce and homemade mashed potatoes, and steamed sea bass fillet with lemon and ginger, were delicious. Several set menus and set meals are available, and the value for money is excellent. The careful presentation of the dishes and the variety of the menu are truly noteworthy. The plates are generously portioned. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the service is friendly and efficient. La Route des Épices is a very good restaurant in Rochefort. The cuisine is original, the atmosphere welcoming and the quality simply there.
