As regulars for 25 years, we traveled all the way from Paris on February 7th and have rarely eaten so badly. The bone marrow was a meager portion, unfortunately smothered in Parmesan (?), a first for me, and horribly salty. The calf's head was overcooked and swimming in a nameless sauce, and the sweetbreads were also in a sauce I'd never seen before, but certainly made with bouillon cubes. We'll avoid this place from now on. Our neighbors, seated at a table enjoying fish and chips with soggy fries, dissuaded us from ordering this dish. What happened?

The quintessential Reims brasserie, I've been going there for 50 years... the calf's head is still as delicious as ever, the waiters are still as friendly... I miss the baked noodles my daughter used to have... and Father Leleu's shouts... otherwise, everything is just as good.
Alas, I went back with a friend, also a fan of their calf's head... Disaster! Undercooked, tasteless sauce of an indefinable color, and inedible pieces of meat... 50 years of culinary bliss... And one mishap, one can forgive... Provided that... The chef gets it right and removes that spice that has no business being there!

We arrived at 10 pm without a reservation and it wasn't a problem at all. The waiter gave us a warm welcome. We had a very good meal and had absolutely no complaints.

A different era.
For those who know me, here's my opinion:
A restaurant with real waiters in uniform and a menu featuring truly high-quality ingredients. The 5A andouillette is absolutely delicious—don't miss it, it's to die for.
For me, the bone marrow is a bit small, but the professionalism of the waiters and waitresses transports you back to a real, old-fashioned brasserie. A must-visit in Reims.
I can assure you of that.

Always a very warm welcome at this lovely, popular brasserie. We were offered a glass of champagne to make up for a booking error. The service was quick and efficient. The amuse-bouche was tasteless and therefore uninteresting. The oysters were very good and reasonably priced. The dessert (Paris-Brest and hot chocolate fondant) was good. We had plenty of time to leave (at 3 pm). Reservations are essential, especially to get a table on the ground floor. This establishment is highly recommended, and the servers certainly deserve the tip.

Beautiful setting, very friendly staff, but I was disappointed with the food.
For the price, the presentation, quantity, and quality need improvement. My dish was overcooked. I ordered it rare and received it well-done. They replaced it, but it arrived much later and was still very rare. It's a shame.
