La Capitainerie sur Epinal

We were just passing through Épinal and ate at this restaurant twice, and honestly, we have nothing but praise. The waiters were incredibly kind and very professional. The food was delicious, both the main courses and the desserts. The waiters had a great sense of humor, and we had a wonderful time. I can't wait to go back. Thanks to Maxime from Verre Cattin; we had a great laugh with him! :) You know, the ones who talk like people from Marseille, haha! xD

I wanted to share our experience from Thursday evening, July 2nd. It was 8:50 PM and I called to ask if we could still come for dinner, the two of us, knowing that closing time was 9:30 PM. We were politely told yes, but to hurry, arrive in 10 minutes at the most. Which we did, since we arrived at 9:00 PM. We apologized again for the late arrival and thanked them for having us. We were then seated at a table… without being asked or having to order anything… 9:25 PM and still no one had arrived. My partner went to the reception desk to tell them we were leaving because we had been waiting for 25 minutes and no one had come to see us. Response: Oh, well, sorry. If you had told us on the phone that you weren't taking any more customers, we would have understood! Honestly, you've gone too far, no excuses or anything 👏👏👏👏 It was so much better before!

Does not accept American Express card even though the server says yes

A quiet restaurant in the port of Épinal, with generous and delicious food. A minor drawback was the wooden table, which felt a bit like a motorway service station, and the Coke, which wasn't very cold... Good value for money.

Dinner yesterday with colleagues. The food was decent and quite plentiful, but the service needs improvement. The young staff weren't very friendly. A real shame when you come to have a good time.

We were a table of 14 and everything went perfectly. The service was quick, the dishes arrived hot and at the same time for everyone. Great place! 🙂

We had a lovely time. Having not yet finished our visit to the Musée de l’Imagerie in Épinal, we stopped for a meal at this restaurant and were delighted. The salads were good and the children's menu was excellent value for money. We're glad we discovered this place. The staff are very kind, welcoming, and attentive.
