We loved this place: the sea view, the quality of the food (appetizer platter, vegetarian plate), and the profiteroles are exceptional 😋, plus the very pleasant servers. We highly recommend it.

Very nice lunch here overlooking the sea. Very nice and helpful staff. Despite the 30degC day the beers and wine was very cold, and the burgers were very tasty, as was the wife's dessert.

Update to my last review from 7 years ago.
We had another wonderful time at La Chaloupe. Magnificent view, excellent food (baby squid casserole with chistera as an appetizer, followed by a burger and a refreshing salad). Everything is homemade and the service is attentive 👌 We were too full for dessert even though the profiteroles looked amazing.
My 2019 review: Very good food and excellent service. Plus, a few Stade Rochelais players!

I've come to La Chaloupe for lunch several times with my family, and my favorites are the prawn risotto and the profiteroles, which are as delicious as they are generous!
The service is very pleasant with a warm atmosphere 🤗 A bonus for someone from Île de Ré: the restaurant is open year-round!

A very nice restaurant, pleasant setting, terrace with a sea view. Welcoming staff. Prices are a bit high, but the quantity and quality are excellent. We shared a chocolate fondant between two and it was perfect!

A pleasant evening despite the rather high price. A plate of 5 oysters to share between two; I asked for one more, but in vain. Not very customer-friendly when the bill comes to over €100.
