La Champagnotheque sur Cramant

We had a great visit to the La Champagnotheque this week! I highly recommend stopping by for a tasting, to buy some wine and/or for a tasting and a snack (we had the cheese and charcuterie plate, which was great). The owner has a wonderful love of Champagne and sharing it and we really enjoyed the wines we tried and the one bottle we bought (Richomme, Génération 2017), which was exactly the taste profile we described liking. The wines are a careful and impressive selection of independent local producers and the owner has all the information about them and every bottle. What a wonderful place that I cannot recommend enough! I hope we will someday come back.

Wonderful place to taste Champagne with expert advice and explanation about the varieties of grapes and champagnes. Matthieu and his cousin were excellent hosts who gave us a warm welcome. We really enjoyed the experience. We sampled and purchased a selection of champagne which we thought was a very reasonable price. We recommend stopping here for an informative tasting, snack and shopping.

Very cool champagne bar to taste and buy champagnes. Clear explanation. Spontaneous and authentic service. They are extremely hospitable and open to questions and giving suggestions. I was allowed to open the bottle with a sword, an experience I will never forget! I would definitely recommend it!

A beautiful champagne bar with a great selection of small winegrowers. Very helpful and knowledgeable owners. Beautiful surroundings right in the middle of Cramant. Willingness, honesty and joy. I recommend to everyone who wants to. quality and a beautiful location in one of the most beautiful villages of Champagne.

What an amazing experience!! I learned the art of Sabrage!! Food and champagne were great. Staff was excellent!!! Definitely a must see if in the area!

Plenty of information about the bottles they present, you have the possibility to saber a bottle if you buy a bottle to drink, different options to get to know champagne (f.i. 3 tastings, 5 tastings, ...)

Vi cyklade från Epernay och blev varmt välkomnande av en otroligt duktig och kunnig Pierre som serverade oss en fantastisk provning av Champagne 🤩 Vi köpte några lådor av otroligt god Champagne som Pierre sen levererade till campingen🤗 Ett måste på resan till Champagne!

Great tasting experience thanks to our friendly hosts Pierre and Robin. It’s a big plus that you can taste champaign from different estates in one place. Cosy seating areas both in and outside. We tasted 5 different champaigns. (Good value for money, by the way.) With each glass Pierre gave a detailed explanation. Also nice: if you buy 6 bottles you get a 5% discount.
