On the recommendation of a childhood friend who is a Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF), we went to eat at La Chaumière in Font Romeu.
We were absolutely not disappointed. The cuisine is generous and inventive while remaining traditional, the staff is welcoming and friendly—in short, it's a real success!
We highly recommend it!

Absolutely sublime from start to finish. The kindness of the owners and staff, the presentation and perfect cooking of each dish. A magnificent chalet-style setting. Impeccable service. I highly recommend it.
Reservations are recommended as it's always full, and for good reason.

A flawless experience. The restaurant boasts elegant decor and impeccable service.
The dishes are beautifully prepared, with wonderful flavor combinations, some quite unusual, but always satisfying. The price is admittedly high, but it reflects the quality of the experience.
An ideal spot in Cerdagne to celebrate an event or simply treat yourself.
Special mention for the excellent Banyuls wine.

A family lunch that will remain a very fond memory. Impeccable welcome and service from start to finish, with genuine attention to detail. The trout mousse was an excellent way to whet the appetite. We asked for a small salad not on the menu, which was kindly provided and was divine, perfectly seasoned.
As for the main courses, the Iberian ham was a delight, served with tomato toast that did the trick. The lamb shoulders were truly excellent, cooked to perfection, with melt-in-your-mouth meat and superb homemade mashed potatoes.
And the desserts are incredible, with a special mention for the gourmet coffee, which is worth the trip alone.
An address we wholeheartedly recommend if you're ever in Font-Romeu.
