A charming, old-fashioned inn where everything is delicious. The three-course set menu is excellent value for money. Highly recommended. Reservations are advised.

Excellent restaurant in Quettehou, 3 km from St Vaast la Hougue. We greatly appreciated the friendliness and efficiency of the staff, as well as the quality of the food. The set menu (lunch and dinner) offered excellent value for money, with a special mention for the seafood stew and the pear terrine with raspberry coulis. The à la carte dishes are excellent and very generous. Well done to the chef! The plates are beautifully presented and the service is attentive. La Chaumière is undoubtedly a victim of its own success, and it's best to book in advance, which we did twice during our 3-day stay. We'll definitely be back!

A truly excellent meal. A real authentic inn! The oysters au gratin with Pommeau were a delight, and the seafood stew was superb, followed by a Norman crêpe flambéed with Calvados to aid digestion! A big thank you to the chef, the owner, and her two lovely young apprentices. A truly excellent restaurant.

24/04/2026: Fantastic welcome, the owner Xavier always has a big smile! His team is incredibly attentive and very professional. Unbeatable prices, and to tell you the truth, I wasn't hungry after such a great meal! Thank you, and keep up the good cheer!
20/02/2026: What can I say? A warm welcome, smiles, and good cheer. Audrey and Charles, the staff, take excellent care of their customers. Their kindness and professionalism are evident. And the food? What can I say? Generous portions, home-style cooking that reminds us of the good old days. So delicious that returning is a must. Thank you to Chef Xavier for his talent and kindness. My partner eats there every lunchtime and never tires of it; it's contagious, and I'm a convert too. Not to mention that my picky 4-year-old son eats like a horse there. Only passing through the area for a few months, we're going to miss you terribly. Don't change a thing! You're perfect! See you very soon.

02/06/2024: Excellent restaurant, le Chef a du talent, les associations pour confectionnner les plats sont originales et subtiles du grand art, qui peut justifier le prix. L'accueil est sympathique, je serais plus critique sur le service ainsi que la décoration. Le service est trop rapide, pas le temps de boire tranquillement l'apéritif et déguster les amuses-bouche. On enchaîne l'entrée et faire goûter le vin, il y peu de monde, ce midi, on veut finir de bonne heure. La décoration de la table est minimaliste, c'est certainement un choix d'avoir une présentation dépouillée, mais ma critique principale sont des serviettes de table en papier bas de gamme que l'on trouve dans tout les supermarchés, dommage pour un établissement gastronomique. Il y a une terrasse, mais je précise qu'elle est non fumeur, un choix des propriétaires.
10/03/2024: Merci pour ce délicieux repas. Très raffiné. Rien a redire. Personnel très sympathique. Je recommande Le foie gras sublime. L agneau en feuille de brick super delicat. Et le dessert moelleux au chocolat tres bon aussi. Merci d exister et de tenir le coup dans la conjoncture actuelle.
