A nice hotel in a beautiful and facinating area. Good pool and an amazing restaurant for dinner. Service was great in the restaurant and reception too. Unfortunately we faced a really rude lady in the breakfast room. She made us feel like we were for some reason not good enogh to visit her hotelbreakfast. The woman left us feeling strange and for that reason we had to take on star away from this otherwise lovely and beautiful hotel…

We have stayed here before, the hotel is lovely in a fantastic location. However, this time we just had dinner. They've reduced the menu, and it's not as good. Happily the staff are still attentive and friendly. The location by the river, where you can enjoy drinks on the lawn, is perfect. Please Mercure: review your menu.

A breathtaking historical site, and the same feeling in the hotel. A truly beautiful place. Rooms with a perfect blend of decor and coziness. Absolutely nothing to complain about.

Excellent hotel and incredibly attentive staff! The breakfast is truly delicious and varied. Tastefully decorated rooms. Spotlessly clean. Great view and proximity to the vast gardens of the Royal Rope Factory. I highly recommend it!

A very good hotel where I stay when I'm in the area. The restaurant staff are very professional, friendly, pleasant, and helpful. Big shout-out to India! The menu is appealing and well-thought-out, although perhaps a little too sophisticated at first glance. A great place to stop. My only complaint is having to pay the bill the same evening and not on the day of departure. We're not at the train station hotel, but at the Mercure. That's a shame.

31/07/2026: A friendly, family atmosphere. We started with excellent homemade tuna rillettes, followed by mussels and fries paired with a delicious white wine from the Charente region. Reasonable prices. We'll be back.
28/07/2026: Cannot fault this establishment. Very friendly service from the moment we arrived, we did not have a recommendation but were welcomed in. We had the menu du jour all of which was the best food we have had on our week stay in the area. Welcoming and homely vibe but with top tier food, drinks and service.

23/08/2026: A lovely spot on Rochefort's marina. Equally pleasant on the terrace and inside, it's cozy and bright. Generous portions and delicious cuisine. Friendly and attentive staff. Good value for money.
23/08/2026: We ate as a family (8 people) on a superb terrace despite the unpredictable weather. All the staff were excellent. The owner was very kind and approachable, and really took the time to chat with her customers (which is very rare these days). As for the food, from the appetizers to the desserts, everything was a delight for the taste buds. And the children's menus, with fish and meat options, were incredible.
