Despite it being dinnertime, we got a table on the terrace in the evening just for a Pastis. The waiter was friendly and good, and the Pastis was plentiful. I can't confirm the previous comments; we'll be back.

The food was decent, it's the service that's the problem: loud and boisterous comments (sometimes about the customers), unacceptable.

La Farandole bar restaurant is well located and pleasant. When I ordered a Perrier with mint, the bottle arrived already capped. A small mistake that makes all the difference, which is a shame.

A long-established Ciotat institution
Very pleasant
Always a pleasure to have a coffee there ☕️
The waiters and waitresses are friendly
I've never eaten there
Just a roadside café
With a view of the bend
Others prefer the terrace facing the sea 🌊 🌊

We ordered the Mediterranean breakfast, which is described as being served with "crispy bacon" as well as muesli or an incredible avocado toast, and the plate (€18) that arrived had a piece of ham, plain Greek yogurt without muesli and a piece of toast cut in half with a little guacamole…

Fantastic beach restaurant!
The servers are very friendly: Fred, Marine, and Camille. The food is as excellent as their kindness.
We'll be back very soon! ☺️

Beautiful setting, generous breakfast, pleasant service.
Perhaps the organization could be improved (three trips back and forth to bring us breakfast)... but it still deserves 5 stars. The service was really nice.
