This restaurant is perfect in every way: Top service (thanks Antoine and Justine), a great atmosphere, refined and generous cuisine. If you like good food, this restaurant with its chalet atmosphere will delight your senses with its comprehensive and completely affordable menu. Let's not forget the wise advice for food and wine pairings, including a more than successful cocktail for the aperitif 🍸 Family, couple, business: I advise 100%, with my eyes closed!

When I came to leave a review on the restaurant La Folie Douce, I was dismayed. Reading such opinions following my own on a situation that I experienced deeply surprised me and I feel the need to bring my own perspective on the events described at the La Folie Douce café, given that I was present as a customer that day. First, it seems crucial to me to emphasize that there was no discriminatory intention on the part of the restaurant staff. I personally observed the departure of a large table of 12 people just before this group arrived. The table left uncleared did not prevent the group from sitting at their ease, without even saying a hello or the slightest sign of politeness, which is generally appreciated in any service establishment. The main priority was to put their bags on the chairs and quickly leave to change the children in the restaurant toilets. The staff, including the chef, were indeed very busy that day. I don't know what he was doing outside at that particular moment, but he was trying to deal with the consequences of a full shift and he was helping his staff by carrying dishes back and forth himself. in his kitchen, never seen before and it made me laugh. I must admit that the entry of this group of barefoot people into the restaurant to wash the children's hands, especially coming from the nearby beach, shocked me. A minimum of respect for hygiene and social conventions in a catering establishment seems essential to me. Think about the people who clean! As for the accusation of discrimination, it does not correspond to what I observed. The staff did their best to welcome everyone fairly, despite the challenges of the world, and the staff too, I imagine (only 2 people in the room). The allegation that customers who arrived later were served without problem must be banned because it is completely false. In the context of the efforts made by the staff to reorganize and manage the available places in a fluid and efficient manner, no one was taken after them for a good 15 minutes, hence the numerous refusal notices... Additionally, customers arriving before this group were told off for waiting more than 25 minutes, so what's the point in waiting 30 minutes in turn? I understand that misunderstandings and frustrations can arise in stressful or busy situations. However, accusing staff of discrimination without recognizing the difficult circumstances they faced seems unfair to me. I share this experience in the hope of bringing balance to the discussion and encouraging more nuanced thinking about the challenges faced by this dining establishment, because it is easy to attack people for no reason and self-discriminate…

Hello, a regular here for several years, I feel obliged to respond following the nauseating comments written by disrespectful people. I find it extremely shocking and defamatory to call into question the integrity of the establishment's staff. Precisely the fact of coming there regularly allows me to say that there is precisely no racial crime as some imply. That day, after a long and complete lunch service, the staff found themselves making the connection between clearing, straightening and serving the last customers. It’s around 3 p.m. The people who complained below arrived in a group of 8 people without asking the staff anything and sat down on an uncleared table, full of dishes, without a word to the staff. They put down their things, went to rinse their children's feet in the toilet sink without still asking for anything. Perhaps if they had had the courtesy to ask the staff in place if they could eat while the lunch service was not over, the story would have ended there. I think that before expressing such pejorative opinions we should perhaps also behave respectfully and not hide part of the story. The staff only starts serving drinks on the terrace when the service is finished! Education is a universal value: when I enter a restaurant I may already ask someone if I can sit down... Now it makes me cringe to try to pass this off as discrimination. Are you serious in victimizing yourself like this?? It is in no way your appearance, your religion or anything else that means you could not be served... but simply your lack of correctness, good manners and education. Discrimination is a real fight to wage, but only when it is justified. Using this argument when you have engaged in inappropriate behavior is very cheeky. Defaming people is very easy behind a screen. This is a hurtful and unfounded thing for the staff present.

The place is great, the menu, nothing to say, is perfect. Top service, little dog 😍

Disappointed. The concept is nice and it was pretty good but we didn't have enough fondue or cold meats for 5 people. Given the price paid (27€ per person) I expected larger quantities. Obliged to have dessert (8-9€). We will not come back. Fortunately the service raises the bill.

Au niveau des plats je ne suis vraiment pas déçu. Raclette à la braise très bonne seul petit hic, l'appareil à raclette (qui chauffe donc grâce au feu) est posé en plein milieu de la table où nous étions 4. Manger tout en ayant très très chaud est vraiment désagréable. Cependant le burger à la raclette était vraiment excellent ! J'étais cependant très déçu de voir des frites surgelées dans mon assiette surtout pour la TOUTE petite portion qu'il y avait. Mais alors pourquoi 3 étoiles ? Le service ! Les serveurs ne sont pas présents pour les clients, la plupart sont plus que désagréables (répondent à peine à nos questions genre on les embêtes plus qu'autre chose, l'explication d'utilisation de l'appareil à raclette est à peine faite, langage beaucoup trop familier avec les clients etc). J'ai bien constaté que les salariés étaient pour la plupart des jeunes mais un minimum de tenue envers leurs clients ne ferait pas de mal. Au delà de ça, c'était une bonne expérience gustative.

Décevant ! Un rapport qualité prix moyen. Après être venus plusieurs fois et toujours contents, nous n’avons pas retrouvé la qualité cette fois ci malgré des prix en forte augmentation. Le cadre reste cependant agréable.
