La Fourchette sur Schlierbach

So, we're back for our fourth visit to La Fourchette. Honestly, it's flawless: the welcome was impeccable, the ladies present were very pleasant, and the chef was there to greet us. We ate on the terrace, which was very pretty, cozy, and comfortable. As for the food, we thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the foie gras as a main course. It was very well presented 🤗🫶❤️. My husband had the ribeye steak with morel sauce, cooked to perfection, mmm (rare for us) 🫶 a delight. For dessert, we had a chocolate fondant, a little too firm for my taste, so not quite gooey, but that's just a minor detail, and a Dame Blanche (vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce). First of all, it's worth mentioning; for me, the welcome was exceptional: kindness, attentiveness, humor... an introduction that I consider essential for the rest of the meal. The terrace is very pleasant and shaded. As for the food, there are no missteps: a simple and realistic menu, well-balanced set menus, and prices that are within a reasonable range these days. In short, a great place in my opinion.

A lovely place to share a meal at lunchtime or in the evening, with colleagues, family, or in a group! Excellent seating in the back room and on the terrace.

Yesterday we celebrated my mother's 100th birthday at La Fourchette. It was a very special day for us; 100 years old is a significant milestone! There were 19 of us, and we wanted to share how perfectly everything went. The staff were attentive, available, and provided excellent advice beforehand. They answered all our questions and offered suggestions. The meal was superb; we didn't get a chance to congratulate the chef on his Beef Wellington: bravo, it was simply perfect! The service was fantastic: a dedicated waitress was assigned to our table. Thank you for her remarkable efficiency, attentive to our every request, smiling, pleasant, and kind—we couldn't have asked for better! We lingered a little longer, and at no point did we feel it was time to leave, which isn't always the case in other restaurants when they have to prepare for the evening service. So, a huge thank you to the entire team for helping make this special day such a success.

A very good experience overall. I received a very warm welcome and excellent service. The starter and main course were both very good, but I was slightly less impressed with the dessert. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely return.
