We were looking for a restaurant with a sea view and we were not disappointed. A magnificent sunset over Fort Boyard, fine cuisine, a warm welcome. We had a great evening

Great discovery, the decoration is careful, the plates are very well presented and from starter to dessert everything is delicious. Welcoming and professional team. We will come back with great pleasure.

We were well received, one lunchtime without reservation. We were served quickly, the food was very good and plentiful! Homemade fries, delicious! Nice place to have a good time!

esprit brasserie cuisine correcte ( nous n’avons pas essayé les fruits de mer ) d’ailleurs ce n’est pas un gastro sinon les prix ne seraient pas aussi contenus personnel décontracté et sympa . nous y sommes allés à 20h45 et avons été bien accueillis vue sur la mer : au coucher de soleil , super !

Visited with French friends just as schools went back…so comparatively quiet! Have walked past before during summer months, and it seems to be heaving. Not a good option for anyone who doesn’t eat fish or shellfish. (One non-fish cheese based starter, and two meat based main courses. ) The quality of the dishes however was exceeding good, and generous sized portions. The seafood platter was clearly the draw for diners here, judging by the varying sized wooden serving boats emerging from the cuisine. The boat delivered to our table for one diner this was seriously laden, and deemed to be the best plateau fruits de mer ever eaten (and that’s based on loads of experience!) the cooked shellfish elements had clearly been prepared in a flavoursome bouillon) . Some of our group managed to plough through three courses, before this platter was finally declared to be mastered. Downsides? Nothing for a vegetarian or vegan. If La Fumée is considered to be a top notch restaurant, then we wouldn’t agree that the service reflects this. Nowhere near as attentive as we would have expected, and this was on a quiet day. Could be a nightmare on a very busy day, unless there were to be a dramatic increase in staff numbers or efficiency. Bit of a “walletectomy” but the standard of the food left us feeling it was worth it. Would advise booking if going at a busy time, or be prepared to wait.
