Long ago, it was "Chez Geneviève," named after that fantastic lady who too often treated me to ice cream and made the best croque monsieur in Banyuls. Today, La Ganotte, though obviously operating in a different style (catering heavily to tourists), continues to offer a warm welcome and croque monsieur worthy of Geneviève.
