La Ganotte sur Banyuls-Sur-Mer

I spent a few days in Banyuls and, seeing the great reviews, we decided to go on our first day. We loved it so much that we went every night for dinner. The food was delicious, whatever you ordered, and the staff were spectacular—super friendly, polite, and many of them spoke Spanish, which made everything much easier. It's true that some days we had to wait an hour for dinner, but the waiters let you know and offer alternatives to grilled dishes that might be quicker. But that was a minor detail, as they were very considerate and understood that most people were there at the same time. They always kept us informed and offered alternatives, so the overall quality, views, and friendliness made the wait worthwhile. I think this is what I'll miss most about my vacation: the place and the service at this restaurant. Thank you.

This is a high-quality snack bar where you can enjoy simple, unpretentious meals such as sandwiches, salads, grilled fish, mussels and fries, and much more—all very fresh and excellent. The car-free terrace overlooking the harbor offers a peaceful view of the boats and is sheltered from the tramontane wind. The staff and owner are very attentive and friendly. I recommend it 200%!

We spent our last week of summer vacation in the beautiful town of Banyuls-sur-Mer 🌊 If there's one lovely restaurant you absolutely must try, it's La Ganotte, located in the port of Banyuls 🛳. The setting and atmosphere are fantastic, and the staff are incredibly attentive—it's truly delightful 🤗 The dishes are prepared right in front of you, and everything is absolutely delicious, from the main course to the dessert 🍨. You can go without hesitation 😊

I spent a week in Banyuls and I grabbed a bite to eat every evening at this place. The service was always incredibly friendly, with staff running around like crazy because it was so busy! The food was delicious, and the value for money is something you rarely find on the Catalan coast! Whether it's the American-style sandwiches, the burgers, or the regular sandwiches, they're all very generously filled for the price! I admire the owner at the snack bar who maintains a great sense of humor and good cheer despite dealing with many difficult customers! Kudos to whoever I think is the owner for finding room for everyone!

Excellent value for money, very nice setting, good atmosphere, wide selection. Mussels were very good, fries were quite decent.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, thank you! The Mediterranean salad is highly recommended, and everything else was just as good, with a beautiful view. Highly recommended for a quick break.

Lunch was fantastic! The staff was really friendly: they moved us (2 adults and 3 teenagers) to a shady spot. The portions were incredibly generous. We didn't finish everything. But it was absolutely delicious. Amazing. We'll be back. Thank you. We waited a bit, but my drinks arrived right away. 👍

A must-visit in Banyuls for fast food, friendly owner, good food whether it's burgers, kebabs and other items or plates of sardines for example.
