La Littorine sur Banyuls-Sur-Mer

Charming little hotel just outside Banyuls sur Mer with beautiful views of the beach and ocean. Les Elmes is a wonderful place to settle and to hike from. Fantastic trails, beautiful weather and most of all, the staff is incredibly welcoming and accomodating. Finally, the gastro restaurant is amazing.

A magical experience, an idyllic stay and location. Everything was perfect: the stay, the comfort, the panoramic sea view, the magnificent setting. This hotel is a gem! We are used to 4-star hotels, so we can confirm our complete satisfaction. We hadn't booked and stopped by and discovered this hotel completely by chance. We were lucky enough to get the luxury suite with a sea view, accompanied by my two nephews, two boys. The team was fantastic, and in less than 10 minutes, they added two beds for the boys. Bravo and a thousand thanks to the entire team for the warm and welcoming service. The breakfast was extra generous, far exceeding the usual amount, with special touches to please the children who absolutely loved it, as they usually never eat breakfast. Thank you for all your kind attention and generosity towards them. The children had a wonderful time and loved their stay with you, just like us, Auntie and Uncle. A very special thank you to the charming Emile, who was wonderfully welcoming, smiling, and kind. She's a sweetheart! ❤️‍🩹 Thank you, Emile, don't change a thing, you're just perfect! 👌 We can't wait to come back with great pleasure. For us, it was a truly wonderful discovery. An unpleasant feeling of having been a bit ripped off... very poor value for money. The "master suite" with breakfast for almost €400 a night, we expected something else. Positive points: the staff is lovely and the room is very clean. The hall is pretty. However, in the room, the vis-à-vis is omnipresent, the floor is damaged in the bathroom, the ceiling has peeling paint. The jacuzzi is a whirlpool bath. The sea view is certainly there but you should not look to the right (++ buildings), nor behind (parking) nor to the left (noisy road). It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the center of Banyuls. However, there is a very beautiful hiking trail accessible. The bed is not very comfortable, very "soft". The breakfast is very decent but of standard quality. We will not return.
