I had lunch here today after a visit to the fort. It was fantastic in every respect, with very friendly service that told me why Johan Cruyff named his son Jordi, much to Franco's chagrin. The mussels were exquisite, not even in a herb butter soup this time, but with a delicious sauce. Meatballs as the main course and a Catalan crème brûlée. Highly recommended for every visitor to Salses.

Very good, generous portions of regional cuisine (served with truly awful bread, which was a shame, we didn't even get to mop up the sauce :()). The service was extremely slow, which isn't necessarily a negative point: the young couple who run the restaurant do their very best with love and dedication. The only issue is that we would have appreciated knowing beforehand that we'd be there for an hour and a half for lunch... With a few less commitments planned for that day, we would have been more relaxed and certainly would have enjoyed ourselves more. But again, this doesn't detract from the quality of the service or the food; no complaints there :) Best of luck and all the best until retirement :)

We loved it! 😍 We ordered Poulet aux gambas (surf and turf), which was delicious, as well as Anchois à la catalana, Boles de picolat (amazing meatballs with a spectacular sauce), and they recommended a very good house wine. 🍷 For dessert, we ordered Mel i mató and Choux catalans (delicious). The service was excellent and friendly; we'll definitely be back. 😃🇫🇷

I pay tribute to this couple who have had the triple merit of preserving a historic setting, a typical and tasty cuisine and finally a friendly atmosphere imbued with village simplicity.

We received a very warm welcome at this restaurant. The setting is beautiful, and the food is excellent. You can feel the passion and expertise of the owners.

Passing through to visit Salses Castle, we decided to eat at this restaurant, which had received only positive reviews. We were pleasantly surprised to discover its magnificent decor, with its splendid moldings and mirrors. And let's not forget the charming and welcoming owners who serve only typical, homemade regional dishes. A big thank you to you, Mr. Owner, for your anecdotes and your cooking. We wish you both a wonderful last season and hope you enjoy your retirement. And as you dedicated it to us, "Bubbles have no borders, let's fizz, fizz, fizz." It was a great pleasure to have welcomed us and to have met you.
