La Maison d'Eugene sur Le Barroux

13/06/2024: I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The purpose of the trip was to unwind and climb Mt Ventoux. Staying at Les Geraniums in Le Barroux served the the unwinding bit to such an extent, that I completely switched off. The easy pace of the surroundings and the relaxed and 'at home' feeling I experienced at Les Geraniums outperformed any retreats or health spas I have come across. Huw and Geraldine were super hosts and couldn't do enough for us. Everything about the stay was idyllic and postcard perfect. I have recommended Les Geraniums and Le Barroux to my sister and she has already booked a stay for September. Setting out I expected Mt Ventoux to be the highlight of our short visit but our resounding memories are of dining, drinking exceptional wine on the terrace and absorbing the breath-taking views and great conversation. A return visit is on my bucket list.

12/04/2024: This is a charmng place providing real value for money for a three star hotel. From the location overlooking the mountains and town below to the friendly, welcoming owners and the delicious dinner and breakfast served. Le Barroux is a beautiful village and this is a magnificent base to use to explore the region. We stayed on the top floor (no lift) and it provides a commanding view. Quirky rooms but with everything we needed. The property has cascading external terraces with picturesque views; the terraces were being prepared for spring and summer visitors while we were there.
