La Mare Au Diable sur Reau

In a sumptuous setting and relaxing atmosphere, La Mare au Diable offers gourmet cuisine at an acceptable price. A mini raw fish taco and three amuse-bouches are served before the starter, then nothing between courses. I think a different distribution would be appreciated. The tagliatelle in the Parmesan wheel is very comforting, but one expects more, perhaps a bit more texture... The shrimp and lobster ravioli is sorely lacking in generosity; one feels a slight frustration that is out of place when one only allows oneself this kind of outing a handful of times a year. Otherwise, everything was perfect: service worthy of a fine restaurant, just the right seasoning, perfect cooking... A moment suspended in time in the house of George Sand...

We had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner; the meal was delicious, the waiter was very attentive, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. A place we highly recommend. Thank you again for a wonderful evening! 👍👍

There were eight of us. We ordered the €57 set menu. And what a treat! The starters, main courses, and desserts were all absolutely top-notch. Absolutely nothing to complain about! The staff were professional yet friendly—a rare find these days in Parisian restaurants! We had a wonderful time. It's not our first time. We've been before, and each time it's even better! Excellent value for money. A big thumbs up!

A great pleasure, always renewed during our various visits; Enchanting decor, pleasant and soothing interior, consistently top-notch service, and of course, refined, well-presented, and tasty dishes. Deserves to be awarded a Michelin star!

For a special occasion—our parents' 50th wedding anniversary—we decided to celebrate at La Mare au Diable. The reviews were quite good, so we decided to book a table. Upon arrival, the setting was even more pleasant than the photographs had suggested. A cozy atmosphere, attentive staff... We felt right at home. We were treated to an amuse-bouche: a vegetable cannelloni with shrimp and oyster. Unfortunately, my husband is allergic to shrimp, so the chef offered him an excellent salmon verrine. This amuse-bouche whetted our appetites, promising a delightful array of flavors to come. We all opted for the Aurore menu. Our starters included: - foie gras for some - butternut squash velouté for my husband - and a nearly perfect egg for me. We all agreed... The starter lived up to our expectations. For our main courses: - John Dory fillet for some - Veal kidneys for others - and Veal noisette for me. More than just a promise... An explosion of subtle and delicate flavors. For dessert: - Classic tiramisu - A chocolate and pear fondant with vanilla ice cream and balsamic caramel sauce for my husband. - and Cinnamon panna cotta with apples and pumpkin sorbet for me. My husband and I opted for these desserts with their touch of originality... And we weren't disappointed. The chocolate fondant is more of a "molten center." Very pleasant with its hint of balsamic. The pumpkin sorbet took me back to my childhood when my grandmother used to make pumpkin soup for me. Delicious! We will definitely return... Perhaps next year, to celebrate our first wedding anniversary.
