La Meunière sur Thannenkirch

Beautiful establishment, too bad all the services are not at the appointments concerning the room, spa bath broken, lawn terrace not mowed, armchairs thrown in a corner and green with moss, thresholds of the bay windows not cleaned. As for the catering and room service, nothing to say. Despite the comments made directly to the owner, I find the shed a little light. Damage .

Very pleasant place with a great terrace overlooking the Haut Koenigsbourg castle. The food was very, very tasty and the staff was friendly and professional! Happy to come back!

Nice hotel. The reception needs to be reviewed. The wait between courses can be long but the food is good; we can regret the lack of substitute dish. The breakfast is not up to par. Lacks a little cleaning. Despite these few negative points, the building is magnificent, the location is great between the mountains and the wine route.

Returning from vacation, we booked two nights in a family room. The shutter of the French window giving a view and access to the outside was closed and stuck. So we found ourselves in a dark room with a feeling of oppression. Despite the report I made upon my arrival, nothing was done. At the final count, only an aperitif was offered to us. Despite half board which is very correct, the service seems outdated. €640 for 2 nights in a room with no view or access to the outside seems a bit expensive to me.

Our room in the basement was large; The furnishings are a bit outdated (shower curtain with mold, bathtub edge torn off). The terrace exit wasn't really clean either. Unfortunately there were very few staff in the hotel and restaurant, so the service suffered a little. But people can't do more than work. We had fond memories of the menu from a few years ago. But now there was only a very small selection a la carte and otherwise 2 menus. The breakfast is typically French and the selection of dishes is very manageable

Superb Alsatian residence, very cozy and warm. The Josephine room is really great. Everything is very clean, both the room and the restaurant. The staff are charming and attentive. In half board, dinner changes every day and is prepared by an imaginative chef. Traditional Alsatian dishes also had their place on the menu this week, exactly what we were waiting for. I highly recommend 👌

After several stays which left excellent memories, we came for a night with half board with friends. The hotel has a lot of character, the rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated but several points marred this stay: in one of the rooms there was no blackout blind and the water in the showers was lukewarm, in another the wooden shutters were aging, and the rooms facing the street can be a little noisy due to traffic. But the main criticism that can be made concerns the service, with unwelcoming staff and a meal that dragged on, with more monitoring for certain tables and the feeling of having been neglected. The possibility of having the choice for a 2nd starter/main course/dessert would also be appreciated. It's a shame because the potential is certain.

Super endroit mais à éviter si vous avez une carte cadeau, est ce le hazard , mais attendre si longtemps pour être servi.....alors les derniers arrivés sont servis avant vous. Quant à l accueil, pas terrible ,c est vrai que le temps n est pas terrible, mais un sourire et un ton aimable ça change tout.

Die Speisekarte ist sehr übersichtlich und weniger für Vegetarier geeignet. Für uns war das Angebot mit Fleisch, Geflügel und Fisch aber passend, so dass wir uns ein schönes 3-Gang Menü servieren ließen. Sowohl die Vorspeisen als auch die Hauptgerichte waren sehr schmackhaft und raffiniert mit Liebe zum Detail zubereitet. Da gab es absolut nichts einzuwenden. Und auch das Dessert war köstlich und hat das Essen schön abgerundet. Die Weinkarte bietet eine schöne Auswahl französischer Weine zu sehr vernünftigen Preisen. Wir werden das Lokal gerne wieder aufsuchen und können die teilweise sehr negativen Kritiken nicht nachvollziehen.
