La Paillote sur Carqueiranne

Last night, we had an exceptional experience at La Paillotte, and that's hardly an exaggeration. First, the ambiance was hushed, the atmosphere cozy, the decor refined with Thai touches… the ideal setting for a romantic dinner. You immediately feel transported to another world, as if to Thailand for the evening. The staff is exceptionally kind: attentive, smiling, and genuinely concerned about your well-being. And what can we say about the owner? A true enthusiast! He takes the time to come to your table, chat, and explain his dishes, their origins, and how they're prepared. He shares his love of Thai cuisine with remarkable generosity, never once looking at the clock. You can tell that here, cooking is a calling, not just a job. As for the food, it's an explosion of flavors. The red curry prawns were simply sublime: perfectly seasoned, fragrant, balanced, with impeccably fresh ingredients. Every bite was a journey. The cocktails also deserve a special mention: a perfectly measured (and generous!) ti' punch and a house cocktail whose name I can't recall, but expertly balanced. Clearly, they don't skimp on quality here… or quantity 😉. We'll definitely be back—and very soon, I hope!

A wonderful surprise! The servers' smiles, the chef's advice at the table for every question, and not forgetting their excellent Cabernet Sauvignon!!

We were carried away by the ratings but it must have been the wrong day, the wrong time, the wrong cook, the wrong service... Honestly, Thai food is normally very good!

Excellent Thai restaurant! I especially recommend the lemongrass sausage as a starter, perfectly grilled and so flavorful. The shrimp spring rolls are classic. For the main course, the basil beef is a real eye-opener, so be careful! It's delicious and very generously served. The lemongrass prawns are also very good, balanced and made with fresh ingredients. Lovely service, I highly recommend it!
