The couscous was very good, the dessert (Moroccan pastries) was average, it's a shame we couldn't quite understand what the waiter was saying.

I find it outrageous to find a 1-star review on Google under the name Hervé THIERRY in July 2025 and at the same time on TripAdvisor under the name MARCOPOLO, which is exactly the same word for word and at the same time. NOT OKAY!!! What's the point of giving away fake reviews for no reason!!!! 😬😬

Last night, we weren't necessarily looking for an "experience," we simply wanted to share a dinner with our group of co-owners. There were nearly 50 of us: a real challenge for any restaurant. And yet… La Palmeraie in Marrakech managed to transform the evening into a warm, almost familial interlude.
From the moment you arrive, there's that rare feeling: you're not treated like an assembly line, you're welcomed. A smile, a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, and the atmosphere is instantly relaxed. Despite the number of guests, the service remained calm, organized, and attentive. No one felt like "just another place setting." And in a large group, that's precisely what makes all the difference.
And then there's the food… We were lucky enough to sample many dishes, like a mini-tour of Morocco at the table: couscous, tagines, pastilla/brick, pastries… Each bite tells a story: expertly balanced spices, bold flavors, and a genuine generosity. You can taste the passion and respect for the food, with that extra touch of soul that's instantly recognizable. The mint tea and oriental sweets bring the evening to a close like a signature, with that "we're taking our time" feeling that's so welcome.
The decor also plays its part: it's not just "pretty," it's truly transporting. You forget the outside world, you chat, you laugh, you share… and you find yourself thinking, "We're happy here." For around €25 per person, it's truly remarkable: you leave satisfied, but above all, happy.
And the timing couldn't be better: seeing the restaurant featured in L’Est Républicain today, in connection with the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, gave our discovery a special resonance. It was as if this evening had been a little taste of the festivities, the warmth, the essence of Morocco.
In short: it wasn't just a dinner. It was a moment that brought people together. An address to remember, and to which you return — with family, friends, or in a group — because you know you will be received with heartfelt hospitality.
