La Pêcherie Ducamp sur Capbreton

We came to the old location last year; the move is a pleasant surprise. The premises are larger, more elegant, and still need some finishing touches… Great. As for the food, it hasn't lost anything in terms of quality or freshness. After a seafood starter, we had grilled wild sea bass! An extraordinarily good dish! So good, in fact, that we finished with a chocolate dessert. Without a doubt, the restaurant has moved up a level. The service, while still a little slow, remains friendly and efficient, in a very pleasant setting (you could remove those fake plastic plants in the front part of the restaurant…). Important: no reservations. So if you arrive after 12:30, you're very likely to have to wait for the next seating. Note that there is a (paid) parking lot less than 200 meters away. Finally, a good meal will cost around €60 to €100 per person. But frankly, you won't regret it.

A very nice restaurant with excellent food. Two minor points: it's a shame they didn't offer aperitifs and non-alcoholic beers in 2026… The insulation needs improvement as it was a bit cold at the first few tables.

Very friendly, but the shrimp and prawns were seriously lacking in freshness, or perhaps due to a cooking error. The oysters were good. The giant profiterole was very good.

Very good meal and a warm, friendly welcome. The menu for 2 was excellent (bluefin tuna with foie gras and pan-fried squid and vegetables) and highly recommended.
