La Petite Brasserie sur Balaruc-Le-Vieux

Passing through Balaruc, we stopped at the brasserie. It was very good, the waitress was very friendly and smiling. And the menu was perfect.

I've been going there every week for years. It's striking how a vacuum-packed waffle (with Nutella and whipped cream from a can) and a cup of tea has gone from €6.50 four years ago to €8.30 today. I used to be a regular, but I think this will be the last time. They blame it on inflation. It's a shame.

We had a lovely time as a family; the prices were very reasonable, and the food was good. The tuna was delicious, and our little one thoroughly enjoyed her escalope. The waitresses were very friendly and pleasant.

The air-conditioned space was a welcome relief during this heatwave. A complete menu for around €21, featuring home-style cooking. The service was quick and efficient, and the staff were friendly. What more could you ask for?
