La Pierre Chaude sur Chamrousse

The owner was very welcoming, and the service was excellent (Ghita). We ordered the half wheel of cheese for raclette, and it was delicious! I highly recommend it!

We tried the mountain specialties, which were fantastic. They even accommodated my allergy, thank you so much! The only small thing I would add is to offer naturally gluten-free desserts like fruit, fruit salad, flourless chocolate fondant (or chocolate fondant made with cornstarch), pastry cream, crème brûlée... To make it perfect, as I only had a small cheese (like faisselle) available.

Fantastic restaurant with excellent food. The value for money is superb. We left completely satisfied. We can't wait to go back on our next trip to Chamrousse. The owner and staff are lovely and very attentive. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves good food and quality ingredients.

I've been to this restaurant in the resort five or six times, usually to enjoy raclette with my family or just as a couple. Each time, it's been a great pleasure, both for the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. We'll definitely be back.

A traditional Savoyard restaurant offering lovely local cuisine. We opted for a good quality duck and beef pierrade instead of the raclette, which our neighbors were enjoying. The atmosphere is warm and the service very pleasant. Special mention goes to the walnut tart, which we truly appreciated, as well as the side of small vegetables and curried lentils. It was nice to have something other than fries with our pierrade. And they did have fries too :-)

The food was very disappointing considering the reviews on the site; the tartiflette was uninteresting. The place was cozy and the service impeccable.

Lovely setting, attentive service, and the fondue I had was very good. Good dessert too. Good charcuterie! Good salad

We didn’t expect a lot but still left disappointed. First thing is that I came with 2 friends. There was 3 of us. One of my colleague didn’t feel like eating and he ordered just a beer (10 euro beer), I ordered fondue with other friend. We were informed that if we won’t other 3rd dish we will have to pay fee - 14 euro. So he did order fries - I can’t be sure but it looked and tasted like frozen one. I ordered hot chocolate, unfortunately it tasted like the one you get from 1 euro automat at train stations. Fondue was absolutely okey, not amazing, not bad - okey. This place is not horrible but if my friends were going to Chamrousse I’d not recommend to visit this one. When we were still eating the waiter came to us few times to ask if we finished already - we felt like he was trying to kick us out. We liked how the restaurant looks like inside!

We loved the huge wheel of raclette! Thank you to the very kind waitress and her big smile. I highly recommend it!
