La Pignatiera sur Nice

13/03/2026: First time in France and we were a little anxious about not being able to speak much French, by which I mean, we about just manage Bonjour. The restaurants was tucked away on a little side street in the centre of Nice but it absolutely looked the part. The manager was absolutely brilliant, spoke great English, which was massively appreciated despite us being in a French speaking country.. he was attentive, kind and super quick on the ball. The food was to die for. The Truffle Crème Gnocchi was divine, cannot recommend it enough, my partner had the spag Bol, it was demolished. For desert we had the apple pie and the Crème brûlée. Both absolutely incredible. Can’t rate this spot enough as a British tourist. Great staff, great food, great prices, all home made!

26/02/2026: Great place with very delicious dishes and with a very humorous owner, who was the waiter himself. Normal, reasonable prices.
