La Plage Restaurant sur Pouilly-Sur-Saone

We visited today (September 3, 2026 at 12:00 PM) – 3 adults and a small dog. A lovely place with a warm welcome. Right on the banks of the Saône. A set menu with starter, main course, and dessert for €16. A well-stocked menu. Decent dishes. There was a major mistake with the fries, but the cook and waitress took excellent care of it. Special congratulations to the waitress, by the way. It was busy, and she did a great job. We'll be back!

Hello, we came yesterday, August 16th, to celebrate a birthday. There was no welcome because the waitress was overwhelmed due to staff shortages. We had to find our own seats outside and waited quite a while before we could get our drinks between courses; it was far too long. I was disappointed. The fried food was a bit dry, but the problem with everything was the lack of staff. Despite all that, the waitresses managed well despite the crowd. Hats off to them!

The setting on the banks of the Saône is magnificent. I hadn't booked, but they still found me a table. The salad was very generous and the service was excellent.

Hello everyone! I want to highlight an unbelievable lack of staff for a campsite event, which has absolutely nothing to do with the restaurant! There was no food or drinks available due to the establishment's refusal to provide them. The waiter, overwhelmed by the events, was extremely tactless given the workload.

Personally, I love this type of restaurant where the owner jokes from the moment you call to make a reservation: 2 minutes late means an extra €50 per person! The joke continues when you arrive... not everyone appreciates it, but it fits the restaurant's style! Everything was excellent from start to finish! Special mention to the chef who makes gluten-free frog legs with rice flour! It's absolutely fantastic! The wines are affordable and the portions are generous! Of course, if you like having your napkin placed on your lap, this isn't the place for you! We'll definitely be back!

A wonderful experience at this restaurant with its beautiful setting on the banks of the Saône. Refined local cuisine: frog legs, pike-perch with pesto accompanied by tender carrots, and a delicious organic Saint-Véran cheese. A very warm welcome. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
