La Poterne sur Paris

One of my favourite neighborhood bistro's in Paris. The owners are so kind and fun to chat with. My favorite is the brochette de bœuf with pepper or cheese sauce. The confit de canard grillé is pretty good as well. I've taken 6-8 different people here and they always say they want to come back. Order the brochette (beef skewers) and frites (fries)!

Restaurant with excellent service, dishes prepared with care, and generous portions. We arrived on the last day, at the last minute before the holidays, and they treated us with kindness. I was delighted.

The atmosphere was everything I hope to find: warm, authentic and genuinely local. A very positive sign when there were locals enjoying date nights, families sharing meals etc from what I saw. The service was wonderful throughout. Despite my very limited French and the language barrier between us (I’m out of my depth beyond ‘bonjour’), we were made to feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. It appeared to be a two person team, with one running the dining room and the other creating culinary magic in the kitchen. As for the food, I am still thinking about it days later. The magret de canard with foie gras sauce was simply extraordinary — one of the finest meals I have eaten in a very long time. Rich, indulgent, perfectly cooked and utterly memorable. In all honesty, it was some of the most delicious food I have ever eaten. Nothing I have eaten since, nor probably that I will eat in the future, will come close to how good the duck was. I am already drawing up plans for my next visit to Paris and how I will come back here every night for dinner. Thank you for such a wonderful evening. Restaurants like this are so very rare.

A warm atmosphere. Simple but hearty dishes at very affordable prices: excellent value for money. Very friendly service.

I've been coming here very often for the past 5 years, and it's the best place in Paris for me. The quality-price ratio is unbeatable, and it's a village-like restaurant right in the heart of Paris. There's a great atmosphere, the owners are lovely, and you feel right at home. I recommend it 1000%!

Excellent evening at Antoine's bistro! The staff were welcoming, the service was very good and attentive. The prices were reasonable, and it's a very pleasant Parisian bistro. Highly recommended.

That restaurant is amazing! The family manage restaurant was really kind to us. We didn’t speak French but they nicely talked to us☺️ We really enjoyed great dinner there. I quite recommend this nice restaurant! I hope to visit there again and to see them. Thank you so much!

A warm welcome from the owners, who are always on site, is worthy of the best little Parisian bistros. The food is excellent and the place is charming.
