La Poutinerie sur Paris

Yum yum, the poutine was delicious. I could have easily eaten three, it was so good, and with real Canadian cheese.

I'd been wanting to try poutine for a while, and well, I finally did, and I was disappointed... It was marinated chicken poutine. The chicken was okay, but the fries swimming in gravy were cold, and the gravy itself was bland. The place was nice, with an old-fashioned diner vibe. The waiter was very friendly, but the table was sticky. I wiped it with a wet napkin, but it was still sticky. Maybe the varnish needs refinishing, but it's quite unpleasant to have it sticking to the table. Basically, this first experience with poutine wasn't a success, so I'll try it somewhere else if I get the chance.

Excellent place! I've been going there for over a year, at least twice a week. After reading the recent 1-star reviews, I'm having trouble understanding... To take the other examples, The portions are particularly well-proportioned, even "too well-proportioned" for the XL size. As for the staff, the waiter Ravi is very attentive to his customers' needs. All the food is of very high quality, and so delicious! Every time I'm there, it's always packed, even in the summer! I highly recommend this place, whether you're alone or with friends!

The portions were very generous and the prices were really affordable, so no complaints there. The service was also very fast; we hardly waited at all to be served. However, I found it a shame that the dishes were only lukewarm when they arrived and that the fries were completely swimming in sauce, which made them soggy very quickly. Also, unfortunately, it wasn't real squeaky cheese curds, so for a poutine, it left us wanting more. One other thing: the restaurant was completely empty when we arrived, so the atmosphere was a little awkward. Despite that, the concept is still fun and the portions are generous.

Vintage chic atmosphere, great background music, friendly welcome, the poutines are delicious and beautifully served, the croquettes are excellent too!

Simple, very well-prepared food

If you know it's not the original poutine and the cheese is different, and you're open to that, then this French poutine is a very good alternative. However, if you're expecting poutine like in Quebec, this isn't it.

Nothing exceptional. The taste was okay, nothing special. Personally, I came, I ate, and never again.
