Visiting Ré every year, a stay at La Rhétaise is a must. The comfort level improves every time. The oysters are incredibly fresh, and the shellfish prepared in the traditional style are delicious. Charlotte's welcome is always warm and friendly. Chantal and Philippe

I went there to buy oysters. As always, they're delicious and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, though, they no longer sell clams, except when you order them directly from the restaurant. But I finally found some further down the road, turning right at the end.

The spot was magnificent at sunset, but we were very disappointed. Having cycled from the campsite, we tried three marinated oysters (served with a gin and lime granita, but without any marinade) and some mussels marinière that lacked wine and onions. Having cycled past many times on the road to Loix or La Couarde, we finally stopped, but the experience was disappointing. The wine was decent, at least!

The wait for our order was a bit long, but it was packed, so that's understandable. The food was very good, the ingredients were fresh, and the atmosphere was authentic.

La Palmeraie is first and foremost about a great atmosphere, friendliness, and the pleasure of spending quality time over a drink 🍹🌴 A welcoming team, a relaxed and festive atmosphere, with that little touch of summer that immediately makes you want to extend the evening 😎☀️ Whether it's for drinks with friends, a leisurely start to the evening, or simply to soak up the ambiance, it's a place we particularly appreciate. It's always a pleasure to visit La Palmeraie during our stays in Cap d'Agde ❤️ We happily return… and rarely for just one drink! 😂🍹
