La Rhétaise is more than just a place to eat oysters. Since the daughters took over from their father, the culinary offerings have expanded and the place has become more charming. The view over the marshes is still as magical as ever. The service is friendly, quick, and efficient. The food is impeccable. A must-try; we've been coming for 10 years and we're never disappointed.

We had lunch around 12:30 pm. We hadn't made a reservation, but we were welcomed warmly. We particularly appreciated the setting near the salt marshes. We loved the razor clams with homemade butter sauce and the oyster tartare. Special mention goes to the homemade Charentes cake. Finally, we would like to especially thank Eva, who looked after us throughout our lunch with professionalism and kindness. We highly recommend this restaurant.

I saw the M6 ​​report and really wanted to try it. I wasn't disappointed at all; we ordered several different things to share. We'll definitely be back; we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves: from the hot oysters and clams to the cold oysters with fruit (mango, pineapple, passion fruit) and even the shrimp! Thank you so much. We were served by one of the young women from the report and also by a very pleasant waiter.

14/08/2026: Great place and fantastic atmosphere. The service was excellent; we really enjoyed our evening with the kids. The menu was nice and there was a good selection of beers. The major downside was the smoke in almost every area, including the indoor terrace, which was covered.
