La Route du Kashmir sur Pontoise

We were invited to this restaurant on Sunday evening, the 12th. We were comfortably seated, and the menus we chose were generous and delicious... I highly recommend it! 👍

Always a treat at La Route du Kashmir! The dishes are beautifully prepared and generously portioned. The service is very pleasant, with kind and welcoming staff. It wasn't my first time there, and it certainly won't be my last. I especially loved the dessert, the Kulfi, which I had never tried before. I'll definitely order it again to end the meal on a refreshing and sweet note.

Positive point: The cheese naan was excellent!! The food was pretty good, the staff was friendly, and the service was quick. Negative points: The hygiene was appalling 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️. There were marks on the glasses, stained tablecloths, and to top it all off, spiders everywhere, right above your head. It's a real shame because the setting is very nice, but I won't be going back.

Mixed feelings. The restaurant's biggest plus is the terrace, which is very pleasant in the summer. Initially, the servers were friendly and efficient, but things deteriorated later on. The butter chicken didn't have much flavor in my opinion, while the Punjabi was very good.

As a customer attentive to quality and overall experience, my visit to La Route du Kashmir restaurant left me with mixed feelings, despite some very positive aspects. Let's start with the main point: the food. The chicken tikka was simply excellent, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, with a real depth of flavor. The same can be said for the coconut grilled chicken, which was flavorful and original, adding a very pleasant, sweet, and fragrant touch. The lamb masala was also a success: tender, well-cooked meat without excess fat, which is quite rare and worth mentioning. However, not everything was of the same standard. The chicken in cream sauce was clearly disappointing: a bland dish, completely lacking in character and spice; one expects much better in this type of establishment. As for drinks, the lassis were also a big disappointment. The rose lassis was more like flavored water than a real lassi, and very diluted. The mango one, on the other hand, was far too thick, almost pasty, and difficult to drink with a straw. The setting remains a real highlight, especially the terrace, which is very pleasant and ideal for enjoying some time outdoors. However, accessibility is a major drawback: only a few parking spaces (about 7), and parking is very difficult in the surrounding residential streets. In short: a restaurant with very good dishes but a lack of consistency, a pleasant setting, but logistical constraints to consider. Overall rating: 3/5.
