After a few days in Lyon eating at some delicious restaurants, we were recommended Armada, but I have to say we were very disappointed. The food was nothing special; we ordered a rib that was incredibly dry and tasteless. I had to ask for extra sauce to make it acceptable. The service wasn't very friendly, the water wasn't cold, and it was very hot inside. I'm really sorry about the bad experience, especially since so many people hadn't recommended it. I don't know if it was because it was August and the staff wasn't very experienced, or if it was just an off day.

Original cuisine, but very expensive. The same goes for the wines. Avoid if you're really hungry and thirsty.

A hidden gem in Old Lyon that's well worth the detour! At Armada, you'll encounter cuisine that surprises and dares to try bold combinations. Among the many dishes on offer, I had the opportunity to taste a creation featuring watermelon, cooked and then pressed, resulting in a stunning, almost deceptive texture, all enhanced with a perfectly spiced aguachile sauce. A particular favorite was the revisited parmigiana, with its dehydrated tomato tartare, meltingly tender eggplant, and delicate parmesan mousse. To finish, the Italian-style yogurt ice cream, accompanied by cherries and little blackcurrant stars, offered a perfect marriage of freshness and indulgence. This is truly creative cuisine that isn't afraid to break the mold. A special mention goes to Louise and Honorine for their attentive and caring service from beginning to end. A wonderful discovery that I wholeheartedly recommend.

Top 5 best restaurants I've ever eaten at. The experience was incredible. We arrived late, and they still took our order online so the food would be ready when we arrived. Impeccable service. The food, wine, and atmosphere were spectacular. Definitely 10/10.

Fantastic tapas such as veal chop and eggplant parmigiana.

My partner and I came here based on the recommendation from our tour guide Paul and it did not disappoint! The flavours were incredible, unique and inventive. The textures of the plates were also so well balanced, and the server was so knowledgeable and explained the dishes brilliantly. It was our last night in lyon and we were so pleased with how it ended, such a unique and different menu compared to a traditional lyonnaise and nice to try something different.

Wow. Baptiste, Louise and their team are A+. We had the best lunch there and went back for snacks at dinner time. The current pea dish is outstanding. It came with almonds (which I'm allergic to) and they immediately made another rendition for me. The fowl with greens beans, tarragon and artichoke is one of the best dishes ever. Their menu changes, but just go. You will not be disappointed. While there are many traditional Lyonnaise bougeries in town, this one is a little different and it shows.

Creative cuisine with dishes that are as sophisticated as they are surprising. You wouldn't expect this when strolling through Old Lyon, where you might think it's just another typical Lyonnais bistro. The flavors are expertly balanced and the dishes are truly delicious. I highly recommend this wonderful Lyonnais restaurant, which deserves to be better known.
