23/04/2026: Disappointed by the quality of the food considering the prices. Razor clam salad: a third of the knives were empty. Shrimp ceviche: tasteless. The squid risotto was quite good. Beef tartare: nothing special. Excellent service provided by two extremely friendly young women.
21/04/2026: An exceptional restaurant in Vincennes, an address you absolutely must remember!
Seven of us came this Saturday, after a wonderful visit to the Château de Vincennes, and we had an absolutely remarkable lunch at Château des Vignerons.
From the moment we arrived, the setting captivated us: a bright and contemporary room, elegantly decorated with greenery, with a pleasant terrace that invites you to linger. The place exudes a warm and refined atmosphere, somewhere between a neighborhood bistro and a gourmet restaurant—exactly what you look for in a successful group meal.
A warm and attentive welcome
The service deserves special mention. Managing a table of seven with such ease and good humor is a true skill. The staff is attentive, smiling, and available without being intrusive. We felt like guests, not just numbers. The dishes arrived in perfect order, well-coordinated despite the size of our group—something not everyone can achieve.
Refined and inventive cuisine
The menu is short but well-thought-out, and each dish has a distinct signature. We were able to sample several different preparations around the table:
The lamb shank confit with honey and thyme was divine—a long, perfectly controlled cooking process, the meat practically falling off the bone, accompanied by perfectly golden roasted baby potatoes, a hint of pomegranate, and a generous jus. A dish that was both comforting and elegant.
The duck breast taki on a bed of crushed carrots with a sweet and sour orange sauce was a delightful surprise: a bold combination, perfectly balanced between the richness of the duck and the tangy freshness of the sauce. The presentation on the plate was meticulous and appetizing.
The seared salmon fillet, served on a bed of sautéed green vegetables (broad beans, green beans, edamame, potatoes) with a carrot and sorrel sauce, was fresh, generous, and bursting with flavor. The fish was cooked to perfection—crispy on the skin, meltingly tender inside.
The cheddar burger with its wholegrain mustard condiment, fries, and salad was also a hit: a beautiful brioche bun with seeds, juicy and well-seasoned meat, and truly crispy homemade fries. Simple but perfectly executed.
An Impressive Wine Selection
This is perhaps one of the restaurant's greatest strengths: the wine cellar is remarkable. A wide selection of bottles is presented with care, featuring excellent Burgundy, Côte-Rôtie, natural wines, and many others. The wine list recommendations are insightful, and the prices remain very reasonable for the quality offered. We shared a Domaine Clos Romane, which proved to be an excellent pairing with our dishes.
Value for money
For Paris and its inner suburbs, the final bill was very reasonable—around €25-30 per person including starter, main course, dessert, and wine. It's truly excellent value for money, not so easily found in restaurants of this caliber.
In short
Château des Vignerons is a rare find: generous, genuine, with cuisine full of character and service that exudes class. Whether for a Sunday lunch with the family, a meal with friends, or even a romantic dinner, this restaurant ticks all the boxes. We will definitely return, and we warmly recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal in Vincennes without breaking the bank. A big thank you to the entire team for this wonderful culinary experience!
