This open-air museum was a truly delightful surprise. It has a vibrant, lively feel that's rarely found in traditional museums, thanks to the volunteers dressed in period costumes, the animals, and the exceptional upkeep of the site.
This small, traditional Alsatian village is, in my opinion, a must-see in the region.
A really nice place! I think it's best visited by following the schedule of activities offered.
If you visit on your own (without the activities), the explanations on the information panels are often quite basic, and some of the displays in the houses could use some improvement…
Nevertheless, it's a museum that's well worth a visit!
Very interesting. I was impressed by the work that went into the deconstruction and reconstruction at the open-air museum. Note that after 4 pm, the second entry is free. A very worthwhile visit.
A must-see in our opinion when exploring the region. The flora and fauna are abundant. We even spotted storks on the rooftops. The facilities are very well laid out. Allow at least 3.5 hours to see everything. We didn't have enough time to explore the hiking trails and attend all the workshops and activities offered.
09/04/2026: Always a warm welcome 🤗 and great food and pizzas 😋 Plus, the terrace is a bonus in the summer. I highly recommend it. Just one thing: they serve two people, so be a little patient. They do their best. Enjoy your meal! 😉
01/03/2026: Excellent restaurant. The two owners are friendly. And the meals are delicious, the pizzas are generous. Well done!
