Everything is always perfect at the tavern. The waitresses are extremely kind and attentive to the customers, the food is delicious, and the frogs' legs are perfectly cooked. We go there regularly and also bring friends to spread the word about this establishment. Kudos to Monique and her assistant Valentin, as well as to all the staff.

Excellent value for money. One major drawback: the owner gives absolutely no initiative to the otherwise very experienced waitresses. She's the only one who takes orders, unlike everywhere else! So we waited from 12:20 to 12:45 just to place our order!!! YOU HAVE TO TRUST YOUR STAFF!!!! Apart from this disconcerting detail, the place is worth a visit.

The food itself saves the day, but the service is sorely lacking in professionalism.
The positives:
Value for money: The €29 set menu (starter, main course, cheese, dessert) is very good and generous.
The food: Special mention goes to the beef, which was superb and excellent.
The negatives:
Service: This is the major drawback. The staff is completely overwhelmed by the number of customers, resulting in numerous oversights during the meal and, even more regrettably, a distinct lack of tact with the customers.
The atmosphere: Very basic decor, devoid of any character. The place lacks warmth.
In short: The food is good value for money, but the experience is spoiled by clumsy service and an impersonal atmosphere. A shame.

A truly unique place. A village straight out of Frédéric Dard's novel. It's lovely to wander the streets and discover hidden gems.
The restaurant is charming and family-run, serving excellent quality ingredients in generous portions. They offer both classic dishes and more refined options. We loved it...we'll be back.

It's always a pleasure to return to La Taverne Rustique. The menus offer unbeatable value for money, featuring fresh, local produce. They also have excellent wines and delicious homemade desserts! The setting is lovely, both inside and out (the restaurant is nestled in the charming village of Saint Chef, with its rich heritage). The service is top-notch! Don't hesitate, I highly recommend it – you won't be disappointed! 😋🤩
