We enjoyed a lovely meal here in May and everything was delicious especially the duck. Staff were very welcoming and happy to speak to us in English

A great evening meal at Les Droles restaurant. They have 2 servings, 7.15pm and 9.15pm and you MUST book to guarantee a table. Very small menu but delicious. We started off with fois gras and egg mayonnaise, followed by by swordfish and beef parmentier, creme brulee and creme citron. Set price E25. Excellent!

Excellent experience. The quality of the food, the service, the location. Spectacular value for money. When I return to Bordeaux, I will definitely return.

The food is plentiful. It might not seem like it at first, but the portions are very filling. Wines start at €25 and go up from there. They don't speak much Spanish, but we managed to communicate. They have a menu in Spanish.

Incredible tasting traditional French food with great service. Caters very well to gluten free, with most of the menu able to be adjusted to be gf. If you’re in Bordeaux you have to stop here!

A great restaurant in the heart of Bordeaux, where choosing a restaurant can be a minefield, with so many reviews & opinions to choose from! This authentic French bistro offers a compact, but good menu; very affordable & covers most dietary needs. Les Droles - The Funny One is a small & intimate restaurant, but has a casual, cosy vibe. Upstairs seating is probably preferred, however, the downstairs 'cave' style is unique, with nice decor & lighting. Service is good, staff are helpful & will happily translate orders if required. Our party of 3 was good as we could order most dishes from each course & try each others, with some standout dishes! The Pate, & Cheese - Yummy! My main course Duck was packed full of flavour & of course, cooked Pink! Fabulous! To finish we were able to sample all 3 deserts, which were outstanding with the Chocolate Mouse & Creme Brulee being the stars! Overall, a must visit & incredibly good value for money

The food and service are excellent. The value for money is unbeatable. The only thing we didn't love was that the basement where the tables are located felt a bit stuffy. But other than that, the experience was very good. I recommend it.
