07/07/2026: A somewhat chic restaurant where everyone is warmly welcome, but it is probably less advisable to arrive here in shorts, a t-shirt, and hiking boots 😉. Gastronomic cuisine and very attentive service. So far the best restaurant during our holiday in France. Refined and delicious. Very reasonable price for the level you get on your plate. I would go back in a heartbeat. The decor is also top-notch. We sat on the beautiful and atmospheric terrace, surrounded by an excellently maintained garden. The interior is also tastefully decorated. Also nice: parking available at the restaurant.

13/08/2026: My favorite restaurant in Charente. Amazing cocktails along fantastically creative food of which half are vegetarian. The staff is friendly but also very professional. The lunch menu has 2 appetizers, 2 entrées and 2 deserts of which at least one of each is vegetarian. The dinner menu has many more dishes.

10/08/2026: We booked a table here for lunch, almost by chance. When you step inside the restaurant, everything seems frozen in time. Wooden furniture, photos on the walls, doilies on the curtains, and above all, no menu. Here, it's a set menu for everyone: soup, two appetizers (one hot and one cold), a main course, a cheese plate and salad, dessert, and coffee, all accompanied by a bottle of wine included in the price of €32 per person. The portions are enormous, but everything is delicious. It's like being transported back to childhood family meals at Grandma's house—fantastic!

13/07/2026: We were a group of 11 people, including young children and a person with a disability, and we received a wonderful welcome (without a reservation!). The cuisine was excellent, a true testament to what is now called bistronomy—a perfect balance between traditional dishes and originality. The terrace on this charming, authentic little street is lovely, but the interior is equally delightful. And the large sliding mirror that leads to the restrooms—now that's original! We highly recommend it, whether for a romantic dinner or a large gathering with friends. The staff was lovely.

31/07/2026: Best dinner experience in Bordeaux, would definitely come back. We are Spanish and the waiter talked to us in Spanish and showed us a Spanish menu, he was very kind and gave us tap water as well without asking! The duck was delicious and every dish we ordered was a good choice, loved the foie gras, gazpacho and creme brulee. There were a lot of people in the restaurant but it wasn't too loud, the atmosphere was very pleasant. This restaurant is next to the Place de Bourse which is at the very centre of Bordeaux. We didn't have to wait much and the menu price was quite affordable, very much worth the money for the food we got

26/07/2026: We stopped by on Saturday at lunchtime without prior notice and were immediately warmly welcomed, despite the weather making the terrace unusable. There is a parking space available. The dining room was very pleasant and quiet. The restrooms were very clean! The meal (tartares and chowder) was delicious, fresh, and served quickly with excellent seasoning. A nice bonus was that the seasoning for the tartare was left to the customer, so the meat was served plain, allowing for a truly personalized touch. The fondant was excellent and perfectly cooked. Finally, the staff were very welcoming, attentive, helpful, and always smiling! It was a refreshing roadside stop.
