A first for us as a family in a warm and typically Rurzl setting. The welcome was just as warm; if you're in a hurry, this isn't the place for you. We had plenty of time to enjoy an aperitif and then our main course without feeling rushed. We really had time to have a good time, whether with family or friends. The "snack platter" is perfect for sharing, or even on your own. 😅 As for the main courses, the meat portions were generous, cooked to perfection, and the food was delicious and tender. Furthermore, the Belgian triple virgin olive oil was a new discovery and also very good 👍. Enjoy in moderation. I highly recommend stopping by. It's close to the A25 motorway and well worth the detour.

We came for dinner last night without a reservation. The owner gave us a warm welcome. We were seated on the terrace and struck up a conversation with the table next to us. We had a very, very good meal (duck breast and potschvleche), excellent value for money, and very generous portions. The setting is magnificent, both inside and out (including the back terrace). All the staff are friendly, and the welcome was truly top-notch! It's very pleasant and rare these days to be welcomed like that, especially by the owner. I tried the carbonnade, but was a little disappointed. There was plenty of beef cheek and sauce, but that was it. Usually, there are onions and bacon bits served with the sauce. I was also surprised that the salad was just placed on the platter; my friends were surprised too. Anyway, it was still quite nice.
