La Villa sur Pleneuf-Val-Andre

It's always a pleasure to come to La Villa. The welcome is warm, the service is efficient and friendly. The terraces are a real asset, and the new decor is very well done. The pizzas are delicious, with a special mention for the excellent idea of ​​the "Pizz' Salad" (half a pizza with a Greek salad or warm goat cheese). The wines on the menu are available by the glass, which is a nice touch. The ice cream for dessert is delicious (the coffee ice cream in particular is outstanding). They also offer takeaway pizzas. In short, an excellent place! Update: I've read some unpleasant comments since the change of ownership (it's good to let people settle in before rushing to Google, isn't it?), so I tried it out, and I continue to recommend this restaurant without reservation. The menu has evolved, giving pride of place to Italian cuisine (the tagliata di manzo is excellent), while retaining what worked before (the pizza and salad combo). The pizzas are still just as good, there's now an Italian beer and a local beer on tap, the service is still as pleasant and friendly, and the prices remain reasonable. I loved going to La Villa several times during each vacation with the previous owners, and I'm sure I'll love going back.

We were quite disappointed with the pizzas, even though we used to come regularly. The crust was far too thin and overcooked, the toppings were poorly distributed (not all of them in the middle), and it lacked salt and flavor. It's a shame because the setting is lovely, but a few details that could be changed would make all the difference.

We've been customers of this place for a very long time because it was truly great. When the owners changed at the beginning of the year, they simply stopped serving appetizers with the aperitif and made a mistake on the bill. Otherwise, the menu hadn't changed. Recently, we've been disappointed, very disappointed. No more steak frites, no more fish and chips, only two or three salads left. Three or four Italian pasta dishes, but... a tiramisu that wasn't really tiramisu (a bowl of cream with pieces of biscuit and strawberries) for €9.50. In short, they've made money by removing many items and reducing the quantity, but the prices have gone up. And other regulars have certainly noticed, as it was the first time there was almost no one inside the two dining rooms. I've never seen anything like it in 15 years. We deeply regret this change.

Beautiful location, delicious food, very friendly staff. Everything was perfect! Update from May 7, 2026: Oh dear. I'm just reading about the change of ownership. We've been regulars at La Villa for our summer holidays for 19 years. It would be a shame if that were no longer the case. After the change of ownership at Le Recommandé, this would be the second place in Val-André to lose its soul.

Good experience. Having been a regular customer, I haven't noticed any difference compared to the previous owners, and the pizzas are just as good and generous. I will definitely be back.
