La Villa sur Lagny-Sur-Marne

The gizzard salad needed more vinegar, and it was a shame to have added onions. The beef bourguignon was good.

For the first time in 20 years, I left this restaurant disappointed (I ordered sirloin steak, perfectly cooked, but the meat was far too tough—just bad luck? I hope so). Otherwise, the place has just been completely renovated and remains a very pleasant spot by the water... I returned a month later, and everything was back to normal, from the service to the food; everything was perfect that evening... (One mistake in 20 years... that's still reasonable 😉). Until next time... The story continues... After this negative experience in August (the exception), a visit in September and another in December confirm the August exception... EXCELLENT... dishes on the menu change frequently... quality food... impeccable service... very good times spent in this establishment located on the banks of the Marne. See you soon at the VILLA.

Since the renovations, which were a great success, the quality has dropped significantly. It's a shame, it used to be a very good place, but I was very disappointed on my last visit.

A bit too stuffy for no real reason. It detracts from the charm of a place that was recently renovated. It's a shame to try so hard to conform to a standard when you have the potential to stand out.

We knew in advance that we would have a wonderful time at this establishment on November 30th. We had reserved the room at the very back of the restaurant, near the pool, for 21 guests. Everything was perfect: the welcome, the location, the meal. A big thank you to the young lady who looked after our two tables, putting up with our humor with her kindness. See you very soon.

A restaurant on the banks of the Marne, with tasteful decor. It's calm and spacious; we love going there regularly, whether with family, friends, or even for a business lunch. The food is very good, with traditional dishes to suit all tastes.

Very good restaurant, pleasant setting. One small drawback: the cocktails are made from bottles, resulting in a rather bland drink, which is disappointing considering they cost €14.

We booked the small room at La Villa for a small wedding and we were delighted with the venue, which was a hit with everyone. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the decor was tasteful, the food was excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentive. A special thank you to Cecilia, who took such good care of us, making the occasion all the more memorable. We highly recommend it.

Very nice place, welcoming staff. The menu is expensive compared to what's offered. The portion is generous. Disappointed by the foie gras tart; the pastry was soggy. An €18 starter should be more refined and have a crispier crust. My birthday was forgotten (I mentioned it when I made the reservation). A shame.
