A beautiful place, relaxing setting, charming staff and excellent cuisine.

We've eaten at L'AO three times already. Each time, we were pleasantly surprised by the menu selection. Every course is exquisite. They cook superbly with fantastic ingredients. Although L'AO is off the beaten tourist track, it's well worth the slight detour in every respect. The prices are also very fair overall, including the well-thought-out wine list. The restaurant also offers comfortable rooms for overnight stays. For us, L'AO is always a highlight among the many restaurants in southern Alsace.

We dined in the restaurant and it was inventive and delicious. The three course lunch menu was a good value. Highly recommend!

For €20 for the set menu, it's fantastic! Seasonal cuisine, a very good selection of wines by the glass (including a superb Gewurztraminer from René Muré). See you soon!

We discovered this hotel and restaurant by chance a few years ago. Since then, we've been coming back regularly for a weekend. The rooms are well-equipped and reasonably priced. But the highlight is definitely the food. It's beautifully presented and tastes absolutely delicious! We highly recommend it.

What a wonderful discovery this restaurant was! The welcome was incredibly warm, with smiles from the entire team as soon as we arrived. Even our dog (an Australian Shepherd) received the staff's full attention. He was given a choice of seats, a bowl of fresh water, and more. Thank you for thinking of him! Once seated, we enjoyed absolutely delicious dishes. We had a lovely evening, with excellent service, always a kind word or explanation, and a smile to boot. The ingredients and dishes were top-notch, a true delight for both the palate and the eyes. Many thanks to the chef and his team, and to the staff at the front of house and in the dining room. We will definitely be back, and if you're ever in the area, you absolutely must stop by and perhaps even stay overnight – everything is perfect! 😀
