We ordered two lunch menus. I recommend the green curry chicken: excellent. However, the fish and mango salad turned out to be just grated green mango. We had trouble finding the fish. There were just a few crumbs: about a third of a teaspoon in total! That was very disappointing. What a shame...

26/09/2026: After taking a year-long break, I found myself back at Malis, and it was as comforting as ever. I went with the tamarind soup and grilled beef, which were fresh and tangy in all the right ways. The beef was tender and tasty, though I wouldn’t have minded a bit more char for that perfect smoky edge. There was also a funny little moment when I first walked in. I spoke in English, and the first staff member greeted me in English as well. But then, I overheard one of her colleagues tell her, “Just greet him in Khmer.” After that, we switched to Khmer, and it felt like they were happy to fully welcome a fellow Khmer speaker. I need to work on my undercover skills.
20/09/2026: Classic dishes... very good restaurant. We are never disappointed.
