Lao Viet sur Nice

The soup base of the pho is very good.

Delicious food (crispy noodles and poultry citronelle in particular). Excellent service as well. We enjoyed it so much the first time that we came back two nights later.

A nice restaurant in Nice. Small, a little cramped inside, the food is good but nothing exceptional. The staff is very nice and helpful.

this spot was recommended by our lao cousin in paris and so i immediately planned to go after we landed in Nice. however just like any small establishment in france, reservations are highly recommended especially if there are more than 2 people. after we got turned away, made res for the next day and walked back. the lao dishes are dare say…better than how my mums makes it. i got the laap and nam and my mouth was having the best meal ever. nam rice was extra crispy and especially love the big pieces of the cured pork. the laap was perfectly spicy and herby. the only thing that would’ve made the meal better is if they gave more lettuce to wrap both the nam and laap in.

Excellent restaurant, very warm welcome and fast service! My canteen when I'm passing through Nice and the surrounding area. Being of Laotian origin, I can guarantee that the flavors are present in the dishes. See you soon !

Every time I return to Nice with my family it is a must to have dinner at this restaurant. This year we were welcomed by air conditioning, a renovated bathroom, new tables and chairs, but the flavors are always the same. After 4 years we still haven't found a dish on the menu that wasn't more than satisfactory. The staff is courteous and helpful, I was a little sad not to find the owner we had become fond of. It remains one of my favorite restaurants in Nice with excellent value for money (obviously the dishes are typical as are the flavours, don't expect the usual things!)

I ordered basic Pho and Saigon beer. The soup I had after swimming in the sea was amazing, and adding pepper to it gave me the spicy flavor I was missing. There was a lot of meat with crunchy bean sprouts, and next time I go with a group, I want to try banh xeo as well. Very highly recommended!!!!! And the owner and server were very friendly.

Très dépouillé mais propre, on mange sur une table en bois avec une très petite serviette en papier , les plats sont très bons , service discret et efficace , Clientèle jeune , habitués, et beaucoup de vietnamiens…heureux symptôme
