L'ardoise, France sur Ouistreham

I didn't understand previous bad reviews in 2022 and 2023. This was our second time to have dinner at l'Ardoise before taking the ferry to Portsmouth. Both times the welcome was friendly and the service was efficient. The food was delicious, fresh and well presented and cooked. We had some very large prawns with what tasted like home made mayonnaise followed by a gratin of scallops and oyster mushrooms in a delicious creamy sauce. Dessert was a 3 in 1, a glass of yummy chocolate mousse, a glass of raspberry pannacotta and a small almond cake. The price was reasonable.

Dopo aver visitato il museo Pegasus, ci siamo fermati in questa piazzetta con alcuni locali, vicino all'imbarco. Erano le 14 e stava per chiudere, sono stati gentilissimi, tavolo all'ombra, peccato per il piatto del giorno oramai finito. Abbiamo scelto il menù da 25 euro: io gamberi con maionese, mio marito salmone affumicato con crostini. Poi pesce saint jacques gratinato con formaggio e funghi.
