L'Ardoise Gourmande sur Conches-En-Ouche

It's always a pleasure to go to the slate, as a couple or with friends....

We come regularly to the gourmet slate and it’s just perfect. We are always welcomed with a smile and kindness, the menu is not in all directions (always a good sign), the dishes are excellent and the value for money is unbeatable. In short, highly recommended for a great time!

Il y a loin de la coupe aux lèvres. Le site du restaurant vous expose une carte des vins variée et très alléchante. Or j'aime bien manger en fonction de ce qu'on m'offre à boire. Mais ici une fois à table, en Bordeaux, pas d'autre choix qu'un Saint Emilion à peine correct. Voilà qui frise la publicité mensongère. En raison de l'ambiance particulièrement bruyante (la foule du Samedi soir + le fond sonore pas très musical) et des odeurs de friture, notre curiosité diminue. Je ne me risque pas vers l'aile de raie (à regret) et choisissons l'entrecôte frites. Correcte, mais banale. La tranche de saumon fumé sur brioche chaude fait une entrée sympa, mais bien légère. Sorbet bien arrosé au dessert. Donc rien d'extraordinaire, semblable à ce qu'on peut trouver dans toute bonne brasserie ou grill. Ajoutons une porte d'entrée qui ne ferme pas, un soir de pluie, bonsoir les courants d'air frais. Le service, certes sympathique mais un peu dépassé par les évenements, ne vient pas compenser la frustration. L'addition parait toujours un peu excessive dans ces circonstances. Donc ardoise pas très gourmande, à éviter le Samedi soir.

Very good meal, the welcome was warm, we saw all the staff, I found it super nice, just a downside on the atmosphere, decoration not great, the placemats stuck together, the table was not not very romantic, a small candle would have given more warmth. And the name of the restaurant l'ardoise gourmande, the slate was poorly written, not clean, we could see the poorly erased chalk underneath. Which suggests that the entire restaurant lacks cleanliness. Positive point about the kitchen, we see what is prepared before our eyes, and it was really good. I hope that my comment will provoke a reaction because we intend to return there for another try!

Very very good restaurant very friendly friendly ..just the outdated toilets....the flush is not great we ask where it is..the sliding door not great....the toilet bowl which does not hold.. .. the dilapidated sink faucet.....not very clean too bad.....

Very good time, the managers are very kind!! And the food is delicious and VERY plentiful!! More than reasonable quality/price ratio We will come back with pleasure!

La gourmandise devient un très beau défaut et ce restaurant en est la preuve. Tout est bon, fait avec de bons produits, plein de saveur et d'amour du travail. Bravo au cuisinier. Le service est parfait, souriant, discret et professionnel.
