Still very good after all these years

We arrived on a Thursday evening. The atmosphere was calm, but the welcome was top-notch. The waitress was smiling and attentive, a carafe of water was placed directly with the drinks (Coke Zero for me, beer for my colleague), and a small bowl of peanuts was provided as an aperitif… we immediately felt at ease. I opted for the set menu with an assortment of appetizers: grilled peppers, homemade terrine, anchovy dip, Argentinian-style beans… everything was truly delicious and full of flavor. For my main course, I had the mixed grill of Iberian pork (skewers of pluma and confit shoulder) accompanied by excellent homemade mashed potatoes. The meat was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. My colleague ordered the tartare with Armagnac, which was also a hit. A very welcome touch was the wine tasting before choosing, a real plus for the service. The setting is warm and inviting, with pleasant decor, and even the placemats bring a smile with their quotes. In conclusion, no complaints whatsoever; everything was perfect. A great place, we'll definitely come back.

Simply one of the best places (in my opinion) to eat quality meat in Marseille. The dining room is intimate and the staff are genuine. This is a true institution of good food. You'll come back again and again with the same pleasure. Choose the set menu; it's ideal!

Very good food, very good service, very good customer relations and also a good atmosphere (a small drawback: not enough crispy goat cheese and skewers on the plate) but as a resident of La Rochelle, I recommend it. PS: Thanks for the shot ;)

Excellent, as always. We had lunch there as a family on Friday, January 2nd, 2026 (6 adults, 3 children, and 3 babies). We were always warmly welcomed and seated on the mezzanine, where we had plenty of space for our little ones without disturbing the other customers. All the dishes on the lunch menu were excellent. The meats were well-prepared and cooked to order. The 230g grilled homemade hamburger was cooked to perfection (rare in the center), very flavorful, and excellent. We also enjoyed cod fish and chips with Béarnaise sauce. The grilled Iberian pork pluma on a skewer was very tender, fragrant, and full of flavor. It was well-prepared and cooked to perfection (not overcooked). There were several side dishes to choose from; we opted for the crispy fries, which were excellent, and my favorite was the large braised potato with crème fraîche and chives. Frozen Cointreau parfait, chocolate fondant, chocolate feuillantine, Paris-Brest… And an excellent vanilla bourbon crème brûlée, the best crème brûlée I've had in years, served here at L'Argentin Grill… A red Vacqueyras, perfect to accompany our meal. We thoroughly enjoyed it; the portions were generous and the value for money was excellent. We had a wonderful time. We were seated at our favorite table, near the stairs… The grilled veal kidney, cooked on the plancha, was exceptional, weighing over 300g. The owner cooked it perfectly, pink as it should be, very tender, and very flavorful. Accompanied by a large roasted potato topped with crème fraîche and chives, it's a delight… The grilled Iberian pork pluma on a skewer was incredibly tender, fragrant, and full of flavor. It was perfectly prepared and cooked to perfection (not overcooked); also served with a large roasted potato with crème fraîche and chives, excellent. It was accompanied by a large braised potato served with crème fraîche and chives, also excellent. The Cointreau parfait, homemade and beautifully presented in a tall glass, was delicious. The vanilla bourbon crème brûlée was the best I've had in years—it was here… A red wine accompanied this delightful meal… We thoroughly enjoyed it; the portions were generous, and the value for money was excellent.
